“When I started with Parrish at Prime8 fitness I was 210 lbs and not able lose any weight. I was going to the gym everyday but was getting nowhere. “I have never used a personal trainer before, but as I entered my 60′s and gravity began to win over my body I decided it was time. Parrish was the right choice. His choice of free weights and body weight exercise has not only improved my strength and body tone, but my balance and dexterity as well. I am in the best shape I have been in my life as I have stopped fooling myself into thinking I am doing the right thing, and that I am doing enough of it. “Why do I like Prime-8 Fitness? Parrish creates a fun, supportive, and encouraging environment for work-outs. At the same time, he kicks your butt. After many years of mostly sedentary lifestyle I made a lifestyle change 3 years ago that really did change my life. I began working out with Parrish McGrade and have never looked back. After the first 30 days I could see visible changes already and felt like a different person. I had energy, motivation, started eating healthier and basically became increasingly interested in health and fitness all the way around. I started reading health and fitness magazines to get additional tips. Parrish has given me the direction and guidance to know how to maximize my workouts and push myself to the limit.
Even after 12 hour physical work days in the heat I still look forward to working out in the evenings and actually feel better than I ever have.
I was diagnosed with type II diabetes a few years ago even though I did not fit the typical profile (not obese) and with my continued training and nutrition habits my doctor is extremely pleased with my results.
Parrish encouraged me to do an obstacle run a couple of months ago that has given me increased motivation to continue to do more of those along with some vertical climbing. At 49 years old I am in better shape than I have ever been in my life.

Working out with Parrish prior to my wedding was just what I needed. I knew I wanted to be toned but didn’t want to “bulk up”. I also knew that in a large group setting at a regular gym, I wouldn’t have maintained the accountability needed given the distractions from planning a wedding. Parrish’s unique style is addictive- results are apparent almost immediately and reaching your goals always feels attainable. The gym atmosphere is small enough to feel personal but large enough to feel like a family. The different exercises and circuits that Parrish sets up offer a wide variety- I’m always gettting exposed to new exercises to challenge me in new ways. The results from my workouts were far more than I ever even hoped for… I am more toned than ever and my wedding photos look incredible! My confidence is high and I feel fantastic. Even now that the wedding has come and gone, I am continuing my PT with Parrish.
